Irregular heavy uterine bleeding from vagina between menses is called Metrorrhagia.
Causes of Metrorrhagia:-
• Cancer of Cervix (cervix – opening of the uterus)
• Uterine polypus
• Ulcer of cervix
• Inflammation of uterus.
• Drug induced oral contraceptive pills.
• Bleeding after the application of IUCD ( Intra uterine contraceptive devices)
Treatment should be done according to the cause.
