Pain in the lower part of back (joints) is called lumbago, backache or lower back pain.
Causes of backache:-
• Diseases of vertebral column
• Diseases of spinal cord & meninges.
• Injury causing bleeding, rupture of muscles, fascia or ligaments.
• Acute infections such as influenza, dengue.
• Referred pain – pancreatitis, leukemia, cancer, kidney diseases, female genital diseases, prostatic diseases etc.
• Faulty body posture, exertion
